Getting To Port Fairy

How to get there?

Port Fairy is 215 kilometres west of Geelong, less than 30km past Warrnambool and 72kms before Portland. Worth visiting during a stay at Port Fairy are the nearby historic towns of Koroit and Yambuk.

Port Fairy is just three and quarter hours west of Melbourne. Travel by car via the Princes Highway, or take the scenic route via the Great Ocean Road, 6 hour drive. Daily rail and coach services are available from Melbourne.

There are daily coach services also.   These are called the transit services and are they ideal if you  want to spend the day exploring or shopping in Warrnambool.

There are 3 coach services a week connecting Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Hamilton, Halls Gap and Ararat.    This service operates on a Tueday, Friday and Sunday only and departs Port Fairy at 8.49am
